‘Huawei Mate XT’s twice-foldable smartphone will be released outside China after all’

Huawei’s twice-foldable Mate XT was reportedly made exclusively for the Chinese market, but it looks like the device will be getting an international release.

Website Android Authority weet te report that the special smartphone will be released worldwide in the first quarter of 2025. The price tag will not be cheap, because in China you will pay at least the equivalent of 2543 euros for the device.

The news of an international release is surprising, because interested parties in China are still missing out if they want to buy the Mate XT. So far, only consumers with a pre-order have been able to get their hands on the folding phone. According to Reuters, the device is already being sold on the black market offered for approximately 19,000 euros.

The Mate XT folds into a Z-shape. When unfolded, you’re looking at a 10.2-inch screen. When folded, you’re left with a 6.4-inch screen.
