Today from very early in the morning, it is written everywhere that Huawei today confirmed the launch of the Mate 70 series for November. One of the company’s key executives, the president of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Mr. Yu Chengdong, announced that the most powerful Mate is coming this month, so consumers don’t have to wait long to welcome the next premium line of phones.
The executive did not mention a release time, however, it indicates that the official unveiling of the Mate 70 will happen soon. Some leaks suggest that the launch will happen around November 20 or after the Double 11 Sale.
Last year, Huawei introduced the Mate 60 Pro as part of the Pioneer program. It didn’t somehow promote the device before the launch, but made it directly available for sale.
The Huawei Mate 70 series will come in four models – Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 Ultimate Design.
In turn, DigitalChatStation hints that the Huawei Mate 70 series will have major battery, processor and camera upgrades over the previous Mate 60. It will also bring new unlock solutions and advanced software features for a better user experience.
Bigger battery and upgraded camera
Starting with the battery, the device will use a high-density silicon cell to stay “alive” for many hours even under typical use. Battery capacity is unknown. It’s said to be less than 6000mAh, but it may offer better power output than the Mate 60.
As for the Mate 70 series’ photographic capabilities, we’ll likely see a 50MP large variable aperture main lens with improved features. A new imaging chip can also be installed for improved photo/video quality.
The standard model could use the OmniVision OV50H main sensor.
Higher performance
It is unclear whether the Huawei Mate 70 will come with a 5nm or 7nm chip. Earlier, the company said it would focus on improving existing technology rather than launching a new one. However, rumors of a new 5nm Kirin are in full swing.
In addition, we are also talking about a new unlocking solution, i.e. in addition to the fingerprint, we will also have 3D facial recognition. The former is expected to use ultrasonic technology this time for cleaner and safer unlocking. The latter could remain the same as its predecessors.
Finally, the new Huawei Mate 70 smartphones will debut with HarmonyOS NEXT.
