Huawei Watch D2 brings revolutionary 24-hour blood pressure monitoring that pushes the boundaries

Last week in Barcelona, Huawei presented several long-awaited innovations. One of them is the Huawei Watch D2 smart watch, the first medically certified device that monitors blood pressure 24 hours a day.

The introduction of the Huawei Watch D2 smart watch brought a breakthrough innovation among smart watches, as it is the first device with a built-in ambulatory blood pressure measurement system on the wrist. The watch is also equipped with the Huawei TruSense system for faster and more accurate measurement results.

According to the Huawei 2023 Health Survey, blood pressure is the health indicator that Europeans are most interested in. In addition, half of the respondents admitted that they were not satisfied with their health. On the other hand, 88% of users said that the features in smart devices designed for health monitoring improved their physical condition. This shows how important a role smart devices play in everyday life and how they can help improve users’ health.

Personalized and above all all-day measurement

Ambulatory blood pressure measurement (ABPM) is recommended as one of the methods of blood pressure measurement for the diagnosis of hypertension and subsequently for its monitoring and treatment. The new Huawei Watch D2 measures blood pressure at regular intervals throughout the day and during all normal activities, including sleep. The information obtained from the measurements thus provides a more accurate picture of blood pressure changes and patterns.

In addition, the Huawei Watch D2 uses advanced software algorithms that integrate the user’s health data not only from blood pressure measurements, but also from sleep and exercise data. These advanced analytics deliver more accurate measurement results, making them a true breakthrough in personal health monitoring. Their indisputable advantage is that you are always in full control of your data – while medical facilities often do not share results with patients, with the Huawei Watch D2 you can monitor your health status in real time and at any time, giving you greater peace of mind and security.

Although the watch is a certified medical device and performs the same function as any other medical device designed to measure blood pressure, there is no arm cuff, no belt box or body tube anywhere on the watch. With the Huawei Watch D2, accurate blood pressure measurement is as simple and reliable as it is stylish.

Professional blood pressure measurement 24 hours a day

The device is equipped with a high-precision pressure sensor, a miniature pump and an inflatable air cushion that provides accurate pressure readings. The device measures ECG beat-by-beat analysis, blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring, heart rate, stress level and skin temperature, providing users with a comprehensive health report that helps detect potential health problems early and facilitates follow-up medical recommendations. The Huawei Watch D2 enables innovative 24-hour blood pressure monitoring on the wrist, which uses an air cushion that inflates and takes measurements at regular intervals.

Users can easily measure 9 indicators, based on which they can generate a health report. This identifies potential health risks. These indicators include: heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen (SpO2), stress, skin temperature, EKG, vascular elasticity, breathing control and sleep awareness. These indicators can be checked by the user within one minute, unlike traditional medical devices, which usually require at least overnight wear for such an overview.

Huawei Watch D2 is the first smart watch with the function of blood pressure analysis Health Overview. It provides more than 80 exercise modes and tasks related to exercise, diet, sleep, weight and stress to help the user create healthy lifestyle habits that support blood pressure regulation. Comprehensive health management will be complemented by sleep monitoring using the Huawei TruSense function, which accurately identifies deep and light sleep, REM, awakening and short naps. With continuous monitoring, high-risk users can receive follow-up personalized advice from experts.

Lightness, comfort and simplicity

Although the device performs the same function as a medical device, you can exercise and sleep with it just like any other smart watch. The Huawei Watch D2 is compact and lightweight, which allows users to wear it around the clock to continuously manage and monitor their health.

The watch has a 1.82-inch display with a new colorful user interface and 2.5D floating design. Compared to traditional blood pressure devices, the Huawei Watch D2 is about 1/5 the width, 1/25 the volume and 1/26 the weight. The extremely narrow airbag measures only 26.5 mm.

The watch is available in two colors: black and gold. They come with either a soft rubber fluoroelastomer strap that’s sweat-resistant and skin-friendly, or they’re also available with an elegant cream leather strap. The user can thus choose whether he prefers a strap for comfortable all-day wear, or whether he prefers a more stylish look. Strap lengths are available in both smaller and larger sizes, from 130mm to 210mm, making them suitable for both men and women.

The Huawei Watch D2 is compatible with both iOS and Android, allowing for easier use and access to health features for a wider range of users.

Special offer – headphones as a bonus

Huawei Watch D2 is on sale in Slovakia at selected retailers, the recommended price starts at 399 euros. As part of the introductory event, you will receive Huawei FreeBuds 5i wireless headphones as a bonus when you buy the Watch D2 smart watch.
