Human education and peaceful society should be built with character excellence: Dr. Taher

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Dr. to the workers of the student organization. Abdullah Muhammad Taher said, all obstacles must be overcome through infinite courage and patience, this is the main guideline for the responsible of the student camp. In spite of various obstacles, we should be steadfast in Islamic ideals, move forward with courage and patience, so that proper changes can be brought in the society. We have to establish a humane learning environment and a peaceful society through patience, courage, morality and character excellence.’

He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the campus representative assembly organized by Islami Chhatra Shibir on Tuesday.

The day-long rally started in the morning at Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital and ended with various arrangements. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan was present as a special guest in the event presided over by Central President Manjurul Islam and conducted by Secretary General Zahidul Islam. Central Secretariat members were also present in it.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdul Taher said, ‘A student camp official should be excellent in every aspect. May he maintain the highest standards of morality, knowledge, physical strength, social responsibility and bravery and become an exemplary responsible person. These qualities will make him acceptable to the student body, increase their attraction towards the student camp and thereby help guide the youth in the right direction. Chhatra Shibir will be strengthened in its responsibility towards building an orderly, peaceful society based on Islamic ideals and ethics.’

In the speech of the special guest, Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, ‘The great qualities of the student camp should be spread among the people of all levels of the society. Youth should be attracted through virtues and ideals, not muscle power. If we have any weakness, we must overcome it with relentless effort. Our aim is to build an orderly and moral society in the light of Quran-Sunnah.’

In the president’s speech, student leader Manjurul Islam said, ‘In the days to come, the student camp has to play a leading role in protecting the prosperity of the country, the rights, freedom and sovereignty of the student society. We all have to work more dedicatedly to fulfill the hopes and expectations of the common people towards the student camp and build an orderly society based on Islamic values ​​and humanity.’
