If, after reading, watching and hearing interviews with Peter Hummelgaard in the past week, you expect him to unfold his own scars in detail in his new book about violence against children, ‘Der er something, we shall talk about’, one surprised.
Because even though the social democratic minister of justice in the book’s prologue writes – touchingly soberly – about growing up in a home in Amager with a violent father and about the fear, insecurity and shame it put in him, the personal story is only a small part of the publication.
