Hundreds of children are supported by one of the key players in the logistics market – a technocrat

As part of this, the large logistics company will continue to support the organization with financial contributions and personal participation in volunteer programs. With all this, they help hundreds of needy children.

The Ecumenical Aid Organization, founded in 1991, is one of Hungary’s largest, internationally recognized charitable organizations, which provided assistance to more than 50,000 domestic needy people in 2023 through its National Aid Center alone. DSV A/S is a freight forwarding and logistics company founded in Denmark in 1976, offering global road, air and sea freight and warehouse logistics services. Its history in Hungary began in 1995, and since then it has grown into one of the most decisive market players in our country. The large logistics company operates along the same values and goals as the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Organization, which provided an excellent basis for the establishment of the partnership.

The living conditions of children are being improved throughout the country

“Since our company is a large and significant player in the market, we consider it essential to contribute to the improvement of our environment and society. Up until now, we have helped smaller local organizations and foundations, but we wanted to make this assistance multi-layered and more organized. This is how we chose the Ecumenical Aid Organization, who support many social groups and causes, in line with the values of DSV”

– said Judit Horváth, HR Director of DSV.

The objective of the Ecumenical Aid Organization’s Hand-in-Hand program is to support and develop children living in difficult circumstances, and help them catch up. The primary goal of the aid organization’s child development activities is to be present in settlements in particularly difficult situations, embrace the children living there, help their development and progress, and promote their breakthrough. Of course, all this with complete transparency. As part of the Kapaszkodó program, the charitable organization can provide 1 child with a weekly meal for 5,000 forints, a social experience for 10,000 forints and a monthly development activity for 15,000 forints. In addition to this, they can also purchase tools for creative activities for HUF 200,000. DSV contributes to ensuring these with financial support, as a result of which the daily lives of hundreds of children can be made easier.

DSV does not only provide financial assistance

“Our cooperation focuses on two important areas. On the one hand, we provide the organization with a framework that can be freely used to support the Kapaszkodó program, so they can help where it is most needed. On the other hand, in addition to financial support, we also want to use the strength and willingness of our colleagues to help. Therefore, in the course of our cooperation, we plan to personally participate in many supporting events”

– emphasized DSV’s HR director.

DSV involves hundreds of its domestic employees in the programs of the Ecumenical Aid Organization, who will be able to participate in them depending on their free time and willingness to help. The management of the company confirmed its intention to help DSV’s employees already during previous events. During an internal survey, the employees clearly expressed that they would like to participate in the implementation of actions related to social responsibility. That is why the plans of the logistics and shipping company include support for the start of school with the “Starting school together!” within the framework of the aid campaign, a visit to the Dunavarsány Old People’s Home and active participation in the “love.hunger” Advent Fundraiser.
