The price discount is significant, since the owner of a passenger car belonging to the D2 price category only has to pay the price of the D1 category, regardless of whether it is a daily, 10-day, monthly or annual sticker. In the case of the latter, this means a discount of almost HUF 25,000, for example, but the ten-day permit can also be HUF 3,000 cheaper for the mentioned groups.
However, the partial exemption applies only to the vehicle that was registered by the traffic administration authority based on the operator’s notification, and only for the period until which it is listed as entitled to partial exemption in the register. For large families, the right to use the discount is valid until January 31 of the year following registration, and they must repeat the process annually. This year they have until January 31st to do so, details of which itt can be read.
There is no need to renew the notification for people with a mobility-restricted ID card. In their case, the right is terminated by revoking the parking permit or deleting it from the register.
Another important condition is that the discount can only be applied to one license plate at a time by an operator.
