In the early afternoon, the meteorological service issued a second-degree (orange) alert for the risk of wind gusts for some districts of Somogy, Zala and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén counties, because the strongest expected gusts exceeded the speed of 90 kilometers per hour.

However, in some districts of the counties of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Komárom-Esztergom, Somogy, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Vas, Veszprém and Zala, a first-degree alert is still in effect, in these areas in the following hours the strongest expected gusts exceed 70 kilometers per hour.

According to the forecast delivered to MTI, on Tuesday evening, the north wind may be accompanied by gusts of more than 70 kilometers per hour in the western half, two-thirds and northeast of Transdanubia – in the southern forecourt of Zemplén and around Lake Tisza – but the air movement will gradually lose its strength. On Wednesday, the wind speed in the western counties may still reach or slightly exceed 70 kilometers per hour in some places.
