The community of Gualdo Tadino she is still upset about the alleged feminicide-suicide consumed in the province of Perugia. According to an initial reconstruction Daniele Bordicchia39 years old, allegedly killed his wife Eliza Stefania Peru30 years old, and then turned the gun on himself. Neighbors report never having perceived any signs of tension between the couple.
Femicide-suicide, the neighbors and the mayor speak
On the morning of Sunday 5 January the cameras of the Rai Regional News reached the outside of the villa in Gualdo Tadino, on the outskirts of Perugia, where the tragedy occurred.
The correspondent collected the testimonies of the neighbors, who were understandably and visibly shaken by the incident. Above all, the residents show themselves incredulous since – according to their memory – the couple did not show any signs of tension.

First of all, no one would have heard the gunshots. “Nothing, absolutely nothing,” reports a neighbor to the microphones of the Rai Regional News. The same “nothing” concerns the possible quarrels that could have led to the tragic epilogue: “They were two very normal people“, concludes the same neighbor.
Another resident confirms the apparent stability that distinguished the couple: “They got married on May 23, I think”, and then left forEgypt in honeymoon. Similar words come from Massimiliano Presciuttimayor of Gualdo Tadino: “Nothing suggested such an epilogue, a tragedy so great for the whole community.”
The tragedy of Gualdo Tadino
According to the national press, Gualdo Tadino’s crime was a feminicide-suicide. From an initial reconstruction it emerges that the drama took place on the evening of Saturday 4 January.
Daniele Bordicchia’s mother and sister, worried about the lack of responses to phone calls and messages, reached the house where the 39-year-old lived with his wife on the morning of Sunday 5 January. In the living room of the house the tragic discovery was made: the bodies of the two spouses lay lifeless on the floor.
According to investigators, Bordicchia would have shot to his wife and then turned the weapon against himself, taking his own life.
Who were the victims
Daniele Bordicchia and Eliza Stefania Peru had no children. The couple got married in May 2024 and then left for Egypt on their honeymoon. Daniele, according to an initial reconstruction, worked as security guard in an institution while the woman worked as social-health worker at the Seraphic Institute of Assisi. Eliza was expected on the morning of Sunday 5 January for her usual work shift, but she was already dead.
Bordicchia would have used his service pistol first against his wife and then against himself. The investigations to put all the pieces of the drama in order are still ongoing.
