Hyundai Bayon facelift – The ideal crossover for budget conscious people

Originally launched in 2021, the Hyundai Bayon has quickly become a balanced choice for those looking for an agile, spacious and economical crossover. For 2024, the car has received a subtle update, but one that could make all the difference when it comes to buyers’ choice.

Introduced earlier this year, the facelift for the Bayon brought aesthetic changes to the exterior. Hyundai has reduced the amount of black plastic used on the exterior, which gives the car a more modern look. The front fascia has also been redesigned and now includes a new, larger grille topped by an LED light bar. It’s a design element similar to what we’ve seen on the Hyundai Kona, being very recognizable, especially at night.

The Bayon is now available with new wheel designs to compliment the new design elements. At the rear we have a similar approach, with new taillights and a redesigned bumper with less black plastic, so more color is present on the Bayon.

The engines have been preserved, and customers will have at their disposal either a 1.2-liter and 84 HP engine, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission, or a one-liter turbo engine that develops 100 HP. It can be configured with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Prices start from 17,017 euros

And if you choose a color like this Lucid Lime, the car’s sharp lines will stand out even more. In this top trim, called LED Line, the car comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, plus comfort, safety and technology features in the interior.

Regardless of market, the Hyundai Bayon now comes standard with digital instrument cluster. The car also received a new 10.25-inch screen, which is used for the central infotainment system. On the occasion of this facelift, Bayon now also receives remote updates.

Bayon offers assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistant, automatic high beam and an assistant that can keep the car centered in the lane, useful for long highway journeys.

Last but not least, even if it is a small-class crossover, Bayon does not compromise on practicality. There is enough space inside, so four adults can travel comfortably. The trunk measures 411, which is a very good value for this segment.

Prices for the Hyundai Bayon in Romania start at 17,017 euros, but a fully equipped copy, like the one presented by us, has a list price of 21,420 euros, VAT included.
