Hyundai Creta Electric

Hyundai will soon present an electric version of the SUV model Creta in certain markets in Asia, and until that happens, here are the first official photos of this novelty.

Creta Electric will be offered with two battery pack options, namely 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, while the range is 390 km and 473 km, respectively.

There’s no word on power yet, but Hyundai claims the Creta Electric (the longer-range version) can hit 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

The car will have three driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), while charging the batteries from 10 to 80 percent takes 58 minutes (DC charging).

In terms of design, the Creta Electric differs from the SUS-powered Creta in its front fascia, bumpers and aero-optimized alloy wheels.

According to announcements, the Creta Electric also gets two 10.25-inch screens, a new steering wheel and a different design of the central console. The offer will also include a panoramic roof, 360-degree cameras, ADAS package and Hyundai’s digital key.

The Creta Electric will be available in 4 variants (Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence) as well as a choice of ten colors (including 2 two-tone options).

The Hyundai Creta Electric will compete with the likes of Maruti-Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6 and Tata Curvv EV in the Indian market.

The premiere is scheduled for January 17, so more details will follow soon.
