Hyundai officially presented a special version of the electric model Ioniq 5 N at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon today.
The legendary driver Keiichi Tsuchiya, who is better known by some as the “King of Drift”, helped in the creation of this variant, which is why the car bears the initials DK in its name.
The most obvious visual change is the huge carbon fiber rear spoiler, which is as wide as the car. There’s also a rear diffuser, extended side skirts, a new front splitter, 21-inch wheels, a stronger braking system, H&R sport springs and a lower center of gravity.
Also, the matte white color contrasts with a lot of gloss-black exterior details and green accents (due to the green color of DK’s overalls).
Hyundai did not mention any changes to the powertrain. The standard model uses two electric motors with 650 hp and 740 Nm of torque, with all-wheel drive, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.4 seconds.
There are also 10 levels of driver assistance, as well as an additional “Pro” mode.
Hyundai plans to offer the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition in South Korea and Japan in the first half of 2025, but did not specify the price or how many measurements will be made.
