Hyundai Ioniq 5 N DK Edition: extra intense for the drift king

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N DK Edition is a special variant of the ultimate top version of the Ioniq 5, which has only been announced for the Japanese and Korean markets. The letters DK stand for Drift King, the nickname of the Japanese driver and drift hero Keiichi Tsuchiya, who was involved in the development of the car. The special version does not have more power, but it does differ from a ‘regular’ Ioniq 5 N in several areas. The special version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N stands on wider and lighter wheels all around. The total weight saving: 10.6 kilos. Furthermore, the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition benefits from a modified braking system, complete with larger brake pads, special aluminum discs and green brake calipers. Thanks to different springs, the car is 1.5 centimeters closer to the asphalt at both the front and rear than a regular Ioniq 5 N. Hyundai’s N department fanatically fills the car with extras made of carbon fiber. We see a new splitter at the front, a large rear spoiler above the rear window, side skirts and a modified diffuser. The aerodynamic extras are good for 93 kilos of extra downforce at a speed of 140 km/h. As far as we know, this edition of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will not come to the Netherlands. It is not the first special variant of that EV that the Dutch market has ignored. This Ioniq 5 XRT has not yet come to our country.
