Hyundai is one of the manufacturers that invests more and more in its range of electric models, and the Ioniq 6 is one of the most interesting proposals with zero emissions on the Romanian market.
The most aerodynamic electric model in the Korean manufacturer’s current range was launched two years ago, being closely related to the Ioniq 5 electric crossover. The two cars share the same highly efficient E-GMP platform and, in combination with the very good aerodynamic coefficient of Ioniq 6, the autonomy ends up exceeding 600 kilometers.
In the most efficient configuration, like the car we tested, the 77 kWh battery can provide the car with a maximum autonomy of 614 kilometers in the WLTP regime. In addition, charging is very fast thanks to the 800V architecture used for the Ioniq 6. If you provide it with a fast enough station, the car’s battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes.
In addition, the 229 hp and 350 Nm electric motor equipped with the Long Range version of the Ioniq 6 can propel the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 does not compromise on quality and features
The car is equipped inside with two screens, both of which have a diagonal of 12.3 inches and are integrated into the dashboard. The digital dashboard provides all the information the driver needs, from autonomy to energy consumption or battery status.
Next to it is the central screen of the infotainment system, which includes all the functions of the car, such as navigation, connectivity with the phone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto or the climate control. Fortunately, the climate system retains a shelf of easy-to-use physical shortcuts.
Thanks to the long wheelbase of almost three meters, the interior of the Ioniq 6 is very spacious. Also, the cabin is very ergonomic, with a pleasant design and seats that can be fully reclined, in case you want to rest while loading the car. Both front and rear passengers have heated seats for extra comfort.
Regardless of the equipment level, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is equipped as standard with 360 cameras, adaptive autopilot, parking function from the key, Bose sound system and Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. In Romania, prices for the Ioniq 6 start at 45,363 euros including VAT.
