Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, the first look at the track sedan

The Ioniq 5 N was just the beginning for HyundaiThe Korean company is determined to expand its range of battery-powered sports cars in the coming years with the launch of the Ioniq 6 N and the production version of the N Vision 74, the retro-looking concept presented in 2022.

Meanwhile, the Ioniq 6 N could arrive as early as 2025with an exaggerated and sporty look, as well as even more engaging performance.

The formula N

Our render tries to give shape to the lines of the Ioniq 6 N based on both the spy photos of the prototypes from the past few weeks and the concept RN22e.

In fact, Hyundai seems to have maintained some distinctive features of the RN22e even in the new Ioniq 6 N. Among these, the large spoiler and the characteristic red edge on the splitterthe latter now a signature of the N models.

Compared to the standard version of the Ioniq 6, the N should get a redesigned bumper and sportier alloy wheels. The overall design should follow that of the restyling of the Ioniq 6, expected in May 2025, while the N version will be unveiled in September of the same year, according to Korean sources.

It will have at least 650 HP (and will be able to drift)

As for the Hyundai’s power, the RN22e features a drums from 77.4 kWh and two electric motors for a total of 585 hp, but it is possible that the Ioniq 6 N will exceed this figure, with Hyundai possibly going up to 700 CV.

Hyundai

Thanks to a more aerodynamic design than the Ioniq 5 N and battery optimizations (which on the crossover has a capacity of 84 kWh), the autonomy could reach around 450 km. On the front prezzothe Ioniq 6 N is expected to start at around €80,000, with a nearly comprehensive package, similar to the Ioniq 5 N.

This is why we expect many technical solutions taken from the latter such as the N e-Shift which simulates gear changes, different settings for the “artificial” sound, the N Torque Distribution (to manage the sending of torque between the front and rear axles) and the N Drift Optimizer, to facilitate power drifts.
