Hyundai Staria Electric 2026 – Drive

Staria Electric, the emission-free version of Hyundai’s futuristic hybrid bus limousine (in our pictures), is expected to arrive as early as 2026 with a 218 horsepower, 350 newton meter, one electric motor drivetrain and the company group’s largest battery pack with a capacity of 84 kWh.

Although the values stated above have not been confirmed by the manufacturer, they are not out of thin air: the Staria-based Hyundai ST1 freight version and the Iveco eMoovy derived from it are produced with this engine power. Although we get smaller batteries there, the passenger transport variant cannot reach the 320 kilometer range provided by the battery with a gross capacity of 76.1 kWh.

The 800V electrical architecture enables the same convenience features as on board the Ioniq 5 and 6: lightning-fast charging and a vehicle-to-consumer (V2L) charging option.

It would be too early to comment on the design, but it is believed that the large cooling mask of the hybrid variant will be deleted, instead we expect a solid panel or other decorative surface on the nose. The shape of the headlight does not change, the charging connector is located in the front bumper.
