“Over the past few days I have been the target of serious and baseless accusations that are completely at odds with everything I stand for. I reject these claims in the strongest possible terms,” stated stylist Márk Lakatos in his Instagram post on Sunday.
The background to the case is that one of the well-known public figures of Fidesz, Róbert Ábrahám, published a video in which he said that he had learned that a public figure had committed serious sexual abuse against a child living in state care. Because of what happened, a demonstration was held on Saturday evening in front of the stylist’s Batthyány tér apartment, as it is assumed that the crimes may have taken place there. By the way, the media personality turned to the prosecutor’s office, and the police launched an investigation against an unknown suspect the same day.
Márk Lakatos stated that he is ready to answer the authority’s questions and fully cooperates with them. At the same time, he most definitely rejected all “defamation” that appeared on social media and in some media outlets. As he said, he is grateful to those who stand by him even in this difficult period, and he believes that the truth will become obvious to everyone.
