“I cried every night.” Louis Munteanu admitted the hardest moments he went through

Louis Munteanu, the forward of CFR Cluj, told the less pleasant moments he went through at the beginning of his junior year.

The striker transferred by CFR Cluj for 2,300,000 euros during the summer transfer window was one of the most contested players in the Super League. Louis Munteanu revealed that his father guided him to football as a child, and the fact that he had to commute from Vaslui to Constanța made his mission difficult.

Louis Munteanu recalls the sacrifices he had to make to reach the highest level: “I didn’t know anyone!”

Louis Munteanu tells in an interview for CFR Cluj what he went through to be able to reach the highest level. The attacker, originally from Vaslui, left home at a young age, more precisely from the age of 9, when he had to commute from his hometown to Constanța, to the Hagi Academy. Moreover, the attacker from Gruia confessed that he could not adapt to Gică Hagi’s academy until his mother moved with him.

It was a good year, with achievements both in the club team and in the national team. I hope to have an even better year in 2025. My father guided me towards football, he was that man behind me always.

Dad said to be a striker from the start. He also played football, but at a weaker level, he had no one to support him. I remember that the first year was very difficult, I commuted from Vaslui to Constanța.

I didn’t know anyone when I was 9. I cried every night. I stayed at the hotel, I couldn’t stand it, then I moved in with my mom and I was better. The most important advice from my family was to never give up,” Munteanu said.

Louis Munteanu, a blunt message for the protesters: “I am a simple time!”

In fact, the Transylvanian player left the impression of a capricious footballer, who has the habit of staying up until the morning from time to time, being concrete examples with his outings in clubs both when he played at Farul and at the beginning of the season, at CFR . Louis Munteanu wanted to offer a reply to his opponents, saying that he wants to go about his business and that he is a quiet man.

I’m a simple guy, people see me as arrogant. I go about my business, after training I go home, play on the computer. I really like fishing.

We qualified for EURO 2025 U21, we played very good football. I have to help every teammate out there, I know how hard it is. We have a very good team and we can make a good figure. We are a united group, very good.

I wish you happy holidays, may you all be better and good health to your families!”, the striker also sent to Dan Petrescu, according to the previously mentioned source.
