This trick is great if you have an iPhone, one of those iOS tricks that very few users know
He took almost 15 years using an iPhoneso I know almost all the tricks that can exist and it is quite difficult to find any new or unknown ones. Many new tricks have arrived in iOS 18, but the one I’m going to talk to you about today has been available for quite some time. Specifically, since Apple launched iOS 16 two years ago with its renewed lock screen.
One of the improvements that came at that time was the ability to have a lock screen on the iPhone that changes the iPhone wallpaper randomly. That is, we can select the photos we want or have the iPhone select them for usso that you change them from time to time.
And it is precisely using this last function, when we use random photos that the iPhone selects for uswhen this trick can become essential. A trick my partner taught me Fran Besora and that I can’t stop using. Perfect for recovering a memory that the iPhone is showing you in the form of a wallpaper.
Quickly find the wallpaper your iPhone has on
As I told you, when you put random photos as wallpaper you can select the photos specifically or let the iPhone choose them for you. You can select between people, nature and cities, so that every wallpaper your iPhone displays is a surprise.
And sometimes you want to remember that surprise in photo form. That is to say, you want the iPhone to show you that photo that it is using as wallpaper in the Photos app to remember that moment, as well as other photos and videos you took before and after. And it turns out that there is a trick to precisely achieve this. This you must do:
- Press and hold the lock screen when the wallpaper is on.
- Tap on Customize.
- Select Lock Screen.
- Tap on the icon with the three dots.
- Now tap on Show photo in photo library.
Did you know that you can easily access a photo you have as the background on your lock screen?
You just have to invoke the editing menu, press the three dots and then Show photo. pic.twitter.com/pmVDf1xuP7

By doing so, automatically That photo that is set as the iPhone wallpaper in the Photos app will open. This way, you will be able to check many details such as the date and place where you took it, which iPhone you took it with and many other memories, since you will be able to move back and forth through the photo library to see other photos and videos from that moment.
To someone like me with a photo library with thousands of photos, it’s an incredible trick I’m sure it helps more than one person like it has helped me. I usually use random photos as my lock screen wallpaper and now I can access them quickly in a couple of taps.
