I don’t think it will be temporary

I would like to see the place where these currently allowed tax increases are enough for the planned defense spending, because the tax increase should be temporary, said Kristjan Pruul, a journalist who researched tax issues.

  • According to Äripää journalist Kristjan Pruul, the government should have communicated the 2 percent income tax more honestly.

Bruul himself does not believe that the tax increase can be temporary, because the plans to buy defense equipment are very long-term. “I have my doubts that we will overcome this hurdle here in three years,” he said.

The interview also talks about corporate income tax and why it seemed that the government was hiding the fact that the 2 percent income tax will be collected on a person’s entire income.
