I expect that they will ensure the placement of our goods on this large market

Serbian Economy Minister Adrijana Mesarović said today that during her stay in China, the Serbian delegation managed to concretize a series of agreements with important Chinese companies with which there was no cooperation until now, and that as a result she expects serious results.

– I expect really excellent results after this year’s 24th China International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT). We really managed to concretize a series of agreements with huge companies with whom we had no cooperation until now, which I expect will certainly ensure the placement of our goods on this large market – the minister told reporters after the joint conference of the Government of Serbia and the Chinese Ministry of Trade, where they were presented economic potentials of Serbia through the Free Trade Agreement and within the framework of the 24th CIFIT.

– Indeed, the relationship between the presidents of the two countries, President Xi and President Vučić, opens all doors here – said Mesarović.

This, she reminded, is a huge market for the economy of Serbia, there are 41 million inhabitants in Fuđen province alone, with the potential for our goods to be marketed in other provinces as well.

In addition, she added, there is a huge number of tourists visiting Fujian province.

– So when we talk about the food industry, about some industries that we specifically promoted during this year’s CIFIT, I think we will achieve serious results, bearing in mind that we really opened the doors of the largest companies that exist in the territory of this province – she said.

She reminded that during the visit to Xiamen, as well as the 24th CIFIT, the focus was on the food industry.

– One of the concrete agreements that I expect is that in the coming days it will be made concrete in terms of establishing cooperation, that potential that we discussed with the president of the company Xiamen Airlines (Xiamen Airlines), with whom we discussed the placement of Serbian products on their flights – said Mesarovic.

Xiamen Airlines flies a fleet of 200 planes to 400 destinations, he says, and “it would really be a huge success for all those manufacturers, those product groups that can be found on their flights.”

– Yesterday we visited a number of large retail chains and met with 11 large companies operating in Xiamen and Fuđen. In that store, we came across Serbian products, and that’s why I believe that by the next CIFIT, there will be a much larger number of our products on their shelves – she said.

According to her, it is important to point out that Serbian products are competitive both in terms of price and quality, and that in the coming weeks this will result in cooperation with a number of Chinese companies.
