Andrea has been a fixture in the past. Giulia says: “I really fell in love. He chose me and at that point we got together, we loved each other concretely for many years. I’m someone who either gives 100% or doesn’t give. After ‘Men and Women’ we spent three days just talking, making love, exchanging everything and telling each other the behind-the-scenes stories. Then we spent a week in Rome with me, to get to know my family, and we went to live together shortly after the end of the program.”
“Our story lasted about five years, with some breaks. After two and a half years I discovered, by turning on his computer, that he was cheating on me. He was in America, when he returned he found the house literally disintegrated and he found nothing of mine. I was very angry. I cut his clothes, smashed his Play and broke all his work stuff. Giulia adds: “I didn’t say anything to anyone as long as I could. My agency, which was really close to me in that period, saw that I wasn’t well at all. I had taken the car, I had two accidents, I was completely on another planet, even physically it wasn’t me, I neglected myself a lot. I didn’t sleep, I didn’t eat, I was crazy. We didn’t speak for two weeks, until one day he said to me: ‘Either I call the ambulance or you take me to the highest point of the city because I can’t breathe and I have to talk to you’. So we met, we talked and in a certain sense I understood certain of his actions. He was sincere as ever.”
The former gieffina vip clarifies about the reunion with Damante: “I met him again at the traffic lights when I arrived in Milan eight months later. It’s always been like this every time we met. It was the curse of the eight months: every eight months, wherever I was I found himI could be on the highway and I had it behind me, like at the traffic lights, like in a club. This is how we got back together every time: we met by chance, we argued, and he was stronger than us, we ended up making love. This thing went on for a really long time, every eight months. I was very much in love but we broke up because I had lost respect for him, I no longer respected him as a man.”
Today the two are on good terms: “For the first time we are both aware of the wonderful thing that brought us together and that unites us, because it is undeniable. It was all wonderful just the way it was. At a certain point we surrendered to fate, we surrendered to ourselves, we surrendered to mistakes, we surrendered to everything. We really did everything we could do, we are at peace.”
