“I love Christ very much, I have him in my life” – different

“I have said many times to my priest friends that if they threw away the gold and the limousine and were more humble like the elder Paisius was, they would have attracted more people and youth to them. Humility is what will bring youth to the Church, not exaggeration”

Nikos Vertis, in his interview with Nikos Hatzinikolaou and “Enopios Enopio”, spoke about his relationship with Religion.

“I love Christ very much, I have him in my life. We live in a time when the youth are afraid to say ‘I believe in Christ’. I don’t like this thing. I want everyone to be able to have the freedom to express what they believe. Either you are in Christ, or in Muhammad, or you don’t believe anywhere. I don’t think it’s nice to hear I believe in a higher power. This bothers me because yes everyone believes there is something higher but they are afraid to express it,” he said.

“Why do I believe in Christ? Not for the miracles he has done. I believe in Christ because he has what represents me in my life. The beginning and the end. The love. With love you solve everything in life,” he added.

“This is Christ to me, love, this is what I was taught,” he emphasized.

“I have said many times to my priest friends that if they threw away the gold and the limousine and were more humble like the elder Paisius was, they would have attracted more people and the youth to them. Humility is what will bring the youth to the Church and not exaggeration” he commented.
