Is Alexander Karim in Gladiator 2?
Alexander Karim plays the doctor Ravi in Ridley Scott’s sequel to Gladiator, which came in 2000. In the sequel, Karim plays, among other things, against Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington.
The film is a real big investment from Hollywood. According to Hollywood Reporter Gladiator 2 has a budget of a breathtaking 310 million dollars, that is 3.4 billion Swedish kronor. By comparison, Marvel and DC movies usually end up around $200 million.
– It is a size that is completely insane. At some point, someone was going to ask a question, and the recording director jokingly said, “yeah, but remember that your question costs $3,600 a second,” Karim told in an interview with Swedish Radio.

The tribute to Mahmut Suvakci in Helikoterrånet
In the still unreleased episode of “24Questions”, Karim is asked if there is a Swedish actor standing behind him.
– I like many Swedish actors, but do you know who I love and who has been underestimated for a long time but who I always thought was absolutely fantastic? Mahmut Suvakci!, That’s what he says in the Nyheter24 podcast 24Frågor, which hasn’t been released yet.

Suvaci has also been in Johan Falk but also played in films such as Snabba cash and now most recently in the role of Rami in the Netflix series Helikopterrånet, based on the helicopter robbery in Västberga that took place in 2009.
Alexander Karim admits in the podcast that he hasn’t had time to watch the new series, but still takes the opportunity to pay tribute to his colleague Mahmut Suvakci.
– I first saw him play in Johan Falk. We were sitting at the train station in Gothenburg and then he told us that he was opening a restaurant, he was a nice guy. Later I saw him again in another Johan Falk film and then I thought again, my God, how good he is!
