The PNL candidate for Cotroceni and the president of the formation, Nicolae Ciucă, claims that his political opponents underestimate, in the polls they publish, his position in the preferences of the electorate, in order to “deceive and change people’s perception”.

“I have seen the counter-candidates exhibiting all kinds of attacks, which, I tell you honestly, I can only be happy and appreciate, because these attacks mean nothing more than that we are the only party that matters in these elections in the fight against PSD and AUR. I am the only opponent entering the second round. We continue to allow them to overtake us, not in sixth, seventh, or eighth place. I’m really asking them to put us in 14th place, I want to be in 14th place in their polls, because the real polls will be done by the Romanians, on November 24, at the vote! They try to deceive and change people’s perception with all kinds of messages, with all kinds of surveys, thinking that people are naive and do not see reality. If he would go down among them more, if he would talk more, he would realize how lucid people are, how well they see reality and how much they know each of us, sometimes without having to open our mouths”. said Nicolae Ciucă on Sunday afternoon, October 27, at an election rally taking place in Mehedinţi county.

The PNL leader also claims that he is not afraid of “any of them, neither as a political formation, nor in their capacity as candidates”, saying that the PNL is the strongest right-wing political force and the second political force in Romania.

“In the real polls (…) we are consolidated in second place”, says Ciucă, pointing out that this place is “both from the point of view of the party and from the point of view of the candidate”.

Ciucă also stated that he hopes that the right-wing voters will understand the usefulness of voting” and not waste their votes on small parties that will not enter the Parliament.
