If anything, it’s the new sports car you can admire

If you feel like there aren’t enough ultra-expensive supercars in the world yet, we’ve got good news: here’s the Oilstainlab Half11, which is said to be asking $1.85 million. This translates to HUF 680 million.

But what do customers get for that amount?

A mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car that’s lighter than the legendary Mazda Miata (MX5), but with more than three times the power. Oilstainlab was founded in the United States by car designer brothers Nikita and Iliya Bridan.

The HF-11 turns heads with its six-cylinder, 4.5-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine. Although it was previously speculated in the press that the engine came from Porsche, the brothers firmly state that this is not true. The naturally aspirated engine produces 650 horsepower and can rev up to 12,000 rpm. And to upset the moods of car lovers even more: it can even be ordered with a six-speed manual transmission (or a seven-speed automatic).

The secret of the featherweight of this special sports car is the carbon frame and bodywork; weighs only 900 kg (a Miata 950 kg). Oilstainlab is also considering offering a hand-built aluminum body for the model, but they still need to find the right craftsman to do the job. Their plans also include a version intended exclusively for the race track. But it’s far from over here:

the American manufacturer is also developing an all-electric powertrain for the HF-11. This version will offer 860 horsepower, but the price will be significantly higher, 2.35 million dollars (860 million forints).

The electric version is expected to be heavier, but only by 50 kilos, which is due to the battery. Only 25 units of the basic gasoline version are planned to be produced, and each will come with two helmets that can be placed in the doors.

Technical data includes push-rod suspension with adjustable shock absorbers and 45:55 weight distribution. The car is equipped with six-piston calipers with 394 mm discs at the front and four-piston brakes with 390 mm discs at the rear.

After the official presentation, the first working prototype is planned to be presented in the spring of 2025, after which series production can begin.
