If BNP forms the government, every incident of minority torture will be prosecuted: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that if BNP forms the government, every incident of minority torture in the country will be investigated impartially and the culprits will be prosecuted.

He said this after visiting the Durga Puja Mandap of Dhakeshwari National Temple in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

Addressing the Hindu community, Mirza Fakhrul said, “You know the government that was behind the land grabs of the minority community, I don’t want to mention their names. I can tell you this, when our government is established, we will conduct an impartial investigation and justice in every incident.”

BNP Secretary General said, “When the people of all Bangladesh are happy after the massive change and the desire for change is created in them, hope is created. At this time unfortunately some foreign media spoke against the communal harmony of Bangladesh which is not true at all. I will not say that incidents did not happen, but they were not communal incidents, they were political incidents.”

He said, “An evil force, the fascist Awami League has changed and its leader has left the country. In this situation, the interim government was formed. Which was supported by all the political parties and those who were directly involved with the revolution, with the rebellion. In view of this, on behalf of our team, we immediately contacted your community leaders and puja celebration committee across the country, exchanged views and on the instructions of our leader Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman, we personally instructed our leaders and workers in every mandap in every region. and they are now fulfilling their duties.”

Fakhrul said, “We have been able to create a possibility by defeating a terrible demonic force, where we have an opportunity to build a new Bangladesh, where there will be no differences between us, no bigotry, no sectarianism, one caste with another.” There will be no revenge, revenge or politics of caste.”

Addressing the people of the Hindu community present at the pujamand, he further said, “We have come to this mandap in the past too. We have been in touch with the leaders here. During the government of Begum Khaleda Zia, our then mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka Saheb and our leaders have solved many of your problems here. We have already communicated, discussed and talked with your eyes after this change. We certainly sympathize with the 8 points you mentioned. As we have been with you in the past, we have stood beside you in every problem, we will be with you in the future as well.”
