If the students do not obey the order to leave the hall, RAB will act according to the instructions given by the Dhaka University administration in the evening, said the spokesman of the force, Lt. Colonel Munim Ferdous.
He said that the students have been instructed to leave the hall. If they do not leave the campus, then we will act according to the instructions given by the Dhaka University administration.
He said this while talking to reporters at Dhaka University’s VC premises on Wednesday.
The spokesperson said, RAB is working to maintain peace and order in the campus. We empathize with students’ emotions. But if the third party wants to use their sentiments for profit, then we will take legal action against them.
Meanwhile, under the authority of Article 24(l) of the Dhaka University Order 1973, the university has been declared closed for an indefinite period in order to maintain the safety and academic environment of the students. At the same time, students have been instructed to vacate the hall by 6 pm on Wednesday. This decision was taken in the emergency meeting of the Syndicate of the University at noon on this day. Later, this decision was announced in a circular signed by Mahmud Alam, Director of Public Relations Department of Dhaka University.
