Toyota is launching a “satisfied or exchanged” operation for professionals. The process is simple: if the customer is not satisfied with their electric utility vehicle, they can exchange it for a diesel model.
Electric cars in France, depending on the month, have a market share of between 15 and 18%. France is one of the good students in Europe, since the average is around 12.5% for the rest of the continent.
On the utility side, the results are less good, sinceElectric models represent only 7% of the marketwith professionals still a little reluctant to switch to this new energy.
To test is to approve… or not!
To encourage them, Toyota Professional, which has just completely renewed its range of utility vehicles, including the Proace City, the Proace and the all-new Proace Max offers a unique offer: the “Satisfied or Exchanged” operation. This program allows professionals to test a Proace City or a Proace electric on long-term rental. If the customer considers, after three months of use, that the electric vehicle does not meet their expectations, Toyota is committed to exchanging the latter for its thermal equivalent within six months.. This offer is valid at all Toyota dealerships until December 31, 2024.
Toyota electric utility vehicles offer a range of between 330 km for the Proace City and 350 km for the Proace. Thanks to the location of the batteries under the floor, the loading volume remains the samewhile the load and towing capacities remain close to those of thermal engines.
Toyota pulls out all the stops
Economics is important for professionals when choosing a vehicle. Toyota Professional has designed its electric vans with a total cost of ownership (TCO) similar to that of diesel versions. For example, the TCO of a Proace City Electric is €428 excluding VAT/month, compared to €487 excluding VAT/month for a Proace City diesel (calculated on a basis of 60 months and 100,000 km).
To facilitate the transition to electric motorization, Toyota offers the Toyota Experience program. This individual coaching, consisting of a theoretical and practical course of 1h30, aims to help users optimize their driving, reduce their carbon footprint, and control operating costsThe manufacturer had also done the same thing for its hybrid range a few years ago.
With this renewed range and dedicated support services, Toyota aims to significantly increase the share of its electric utility vehicles in France.
Currently at 12%, the brand aims to increase this figure to 30% by 2025.
