A1 Kinoteka summer cinema offers all lovers of the seventh art, in addition to domestic and foreign classics, a carefully selected repertoire of contemporary world and European productions. In the following days, the repertoire includes Spanish, Italian and French works from 2023 and 2022.

On Saturday, July 20will be displayed the Spanish comedy “In therapy”, signed by Gerardo Erero, a famous Spanish director and producer. Through the story of three couples who participate in an unusual group therapy, secrets, complex relationships are revealed and a story is built that leads to an unexpected twist.

On Sunday, July 21 a movie will be shown “The Return of Casanova”, Italian director Gabriel Salvatores, Italian-French production, in which the main role was played by the famous Italian actor Toni Servillo, whom the audience recognizes from his role in the film “The Great Beauty”. This drama tells the story of the end of the career of a renowned director who, through the film he makes about Casanova, who no longer has charm, power over women, or money, explores his own limits and asks himself whether his or their time has passed. The story and era of Casanova and the director intertwine and complement each other and represent a kind of journey through the inner world of the main character.

The Spanish-French multiple award-winning film “Beasts”, directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, will be shown on Tuesday, July 23. This production, which was premiered in Cannes and won nine Goya awards, including one for best film and one for best director, and was awarded at festivals in San Sebastián, Antalya, Tokyo, Almeria, Chicago, Hainan, etc. brings the story about “fanaticism, lack of dialogue and complete disregard for the other side”, are the words of the author. The contemporary western, in which a middle-aged French couple moves to Galicia, hints from the very beginning of intolerance that will escalate into conflict.

Tickets for film screenings will be sold in advance at the Yugoslav Cinematheque in Uzun Mirkova Street or on the day of the screening at the entrance of the Serbian Armed Forces House from 8 to 9 p.m., at a price of 300 dinars. As part of the A1 Kinoteka project, tickets for digitally restored films are available free of charge and can be downloaded an hour before the start of the movie at the entrance of the Serbian Armed Forces House. In case of rain, the screening will be held at the Yugoslav Cinematheque in the Makavejev Hall at Uzun Mirkova 1, starting at 9:15 p.m.

A1 Kinoteka summer cinema is organized for the third year in a row in cooperation with the Yugoslav Cinematheque, the company A1 Serbia and Dom Vojska.
