IKEA is calling on all customers who own a VARMFRONT 10,400 mAh power bank (model number E2038) with time stamp (RRTT) 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319 or a VARMFRONT 5,200 mAh power bank (model number E2037) with time stamp (RRTT)) 2318 , 2319 or 2322 to stop using it immediately and contact IKEA for a replacement product or a full refund.
IKEA products are risk-assessed and thoroughly tested to ensure that they can withstand harsh domestic environments and meet the applicable requirements and regulations in all markets where IKEA operates.
However, we have noticed that certain VARMFRONT power banks may pose a fire safety risk due to a manufacturing defect. This error only affects units with the above timestamps. Therefore, we are withdrawing these VARMFRONT power banks from circulation. Customers in possession of such a product should stop using it immediately and contact IKEA for a replacement product or a full refund. The time stamp of the power bank is shown on the back in the lower right corner.
This recall does not affect the VARMFRONT power bank with other time stamps.
VARMFRONT power banks with the indicated time stamps can be returned to any IKEA store and request a replacement product or a full refund. It is not necessary to present the proof of purchase (cash register).
