Nevertheless, IKEA has become aware that some VARMFRONT portable chargers may pose a fire safety risk due to a manufacturing defect. This defect is limited to products with the aforementioned date stamps, therefore these VARMFRONT portable chargers are being recalled by the company. Customers with such products are asked by IKEA to stop using the portable chargers and return them to any IKEA store for a full refund or replacement.
VARMFRONT portable chargers with other date stamps are not affected by this recall.
Affected date-stamped VARMFRONT portable chargers can be returned to any IKEA store for a replacement or a full refund. Proof of purchase with a receipt or invoice is not required for the return.
