The case became public after death of the last infantof a 15-month-old boy, who passed away on August 5 while Irini Murtzoukou was an eyewitnesss. The 24-year-old lost her two children two years ago and was a roommate and friend of the mother of little Panagiotakis who died.

While many questions still remain unanswered, she continues to declare her innocence and maintain that little Panagiotis was alive when she arrived at the hospital.
“I am not accused. I was the first to request, by filing a complaint with the chief prosecutor, that the death of my two-month-old child be investigated. I am still waiting to this day to be told the cause of death of my two children. I am not the new Pispirigou as some people want to present me“, says the 24-year-old.
“They didn’t die in my hands and when a person dies they are first checked and then whatever happens. If a child dies tomorrow, what will they say is my fault? Here, I don’t know what my child has gone to, and I’m still looking and each one comes out to tell me that I killed her child and the other that I have responsibility for my own children”, asserts Irini Murtzoukou.
Balaskas: There are no suspects or accused

- 05/08/2024: Her roommate’s son, 15 months old – Cause unknown
