Information has emerged about the cameras of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A36. For example, the selfie camera seems to be deteriorating and more.
Samsung Galaxy A36 cameras leaked
The next generation of Samsung’s affordable smartphones has arrived, with the first being the Samsung Galaxy A16: a real budget device. The manufacturer will reportedly launch its most popular mid-range devices in the first quarter of 2025: the Galaxy A56 and A36. And many camera specifications have now been leaked from the second one.
Starting with the front camera. This goes from 13 megapixels on the Galaxy A35 to 12 megapixels on the Galaxy A36. That doesn’t sound like an improvement, but according to the source (GalaxyClub) will probably provide ‘a clear improvement compared to the old 13 MP sensor that Samsung used for the past A3x devices.’
The more expensive Galaxy A56 also gets a 12 megapixel selfie camera, but it is not the same sensor. Perhaps the A56 is better, to partly justify the price difference between the two devices.
It is not yet known which wide-angle lens and macro camera the Galaxy A36 will have. We do know that it has a 50 megapixel main camera, just like its predecessor.
More about the Samsung Galaxy A36
As you can see from the images in this article, the design of the Galaxy A36 has been leaked. The smartphone has flat sides, a flat back and especially the camera lenses on the back stand out. Samsung no longer designs these as three separate lenses, but as one camera island. Perhaps we will also see this style choice with the A56 and other Samsungs.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone appears to run on a Snapdragon chip, has 6GB of RAM and runs on Android 15. It is not yet known how much the phone will cost. For that we better look at the predecessor.
The Samsung Galaxy A35 is a popular smartphone and for good reason. The device combines excellent specifications with an attractive price tag. The phone has a suggested retail price of 379 euros, but the price has now dropped considerably. You can now buy the A35 for €249.
