A couple dressed as Batman and Catwoman were hit by reality when the police intervened following a speeding violation.
Halloween night took an unexpected turn for a couple dressed as Batman et Catwoman on board a Porsche resembling the Batmobile. They were caught speeding on the highway in France and reacted quite surprisingly.
A Batmobile intercepted by the police on the highway
On Thursday October 31, the gendarmes of the Ardennes had the right to their special arrest Halloween. On highway 304, near Châtelet-sur-Sormonne, they stopped a black Porsche traveling at 203 km/h instead of 130 km/h. The passengers of the German supercar were dressed as superheroes, Batman and Catwoman, ready to save Gotham City. This Dutch couple obviously didn’t pay attention to the speedometer and was caught by the police’s binoculars.
As a result, the Porsche disguised as a Batmobile was immobilized on site and then sent to the pound. In addition, the masked driver’s license was confiscated. Despite the alarming situation, the control obviously went well. Batman and Catwoman were probably aware of their mistake. They even took the time to pose for some photos with their disguises and their immobilized vehicle.

The black Porsche was sent to the Charleville-Mézières pound and will remain there until a deposit is paid. Despite the good atmosphere during the check, the superheroes will not escape a heavy fine of 750 euros for this speeding violation which remains impressive on the highway.
A memorable day for Batman, Catwoman and the police
For Batman, consequences unfortunately do not stop at a simple fine. His driving license is in the hands of the prefecture. He now risks driving ban on French roads which can extend up to three years. Fortunately, the superheroes were able to count on Alfred, their faithful butler, to return to the Netherlands.
This meeting will probably remain memorable for the police on this Halloween day. This situation proves that no one is above the law, even Batman and Catwoman in a Porsche resembling a Batmobile. Dutch superheroes will now have to wait a certain time before being able to continue their adventures aboard their Batmobile, but probably not in France.
It’s all the same a great lesson to learn for all our superheroes. On the highway, you have to watch your speedometer, even when you’re wearing a cape!
