In Egypt, they discovered a sarcophagus with a figure resembling Marge Simpson

Cairo – Archaeologists have discovered a painting on the lid of an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus that vaguely resembles the cartoon character Marge Simpson. The image on the Internet caused amusement, but it resembles a real person from history, he wrote web Euronews.

Scientists made a discovery at an ancient cemetery in the city of Minja, about 268 kilometers south of the capital Cairo, where they dug up a 3,000-year-old sarcophagus. On the inside of the lid, there are 12 colored figures in two vertical rows praying to a large figure with yellow skin, long blue hair and green clothes.

Cover image appeared on the Reddit social network, where users immediately connected him with Marge Simpson from the popular American series. “Tyo, that’s Marge,” one of them responded, and another added that he saw “Marge Egyptson.” Many also joked that this time it was the Egyptians who predicted the future.

The Simpsons series is said to have shown events that actually happened later in several of its works. For example, in 1993 he depicted a disease reminiscent of the covid-19 pandemic that broke out in 2020, or in 1996 the attack on the US Capitol that took place in January 2021.

But the Egyptian authorities have assured the public that this is a real person, namely the high priest’s daughter Tadi Ist. Along with her body, archaeologists also found ornaments and amulets in the sarcophagus.
