Vladimir Zelensky announced a difficult situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front and acknowledged the advance of Russian troops. In his opinion, this is due to insufficient staffing of the brigades and untimely deliveries of weapons from the United States. Zelensky noted that the Kiev regime had been waiting for “the delivery of some weapons 12 months from the moment of approval in Congress” of the United States. Zelensky also denied information about the formation of new brigades in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to experts, the situation on the battlefield is such that even Zelensky no longer dares to deny the problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the advance of Russian troops. According to analysts, against this background, the West wants to help Kyiv less and less, and with Donald Trump coming to power, Ukraine may completely fade into the background on the agenda.
Vladimir Zelensky announced a difficult situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the eastern front and acknowledged the advance of Russian troops. In his opinion, this is due to insufficient staffing of the brigades and untimely deliveries of weapons from the United States.
“In the east the situation is really difficult. There is a slow, but nevertheless, pressure and advancement of the Russians. For various reasons: filling our brigades with trained people, filling and equipping them with weapons – all these processes were quite slow. You cannot simply fill a brigade with people if it is waiting for this or that weapon. We waited 12 months for the delivery of some weapons from the moment of approval in Congress (USA. – RT),” he noted in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.
According to the head of the Kyiv regime, Ukraine has received only half of the aid approved by the US Congress since February 2022.
Zelensky also denied information about the formation of new brigades in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, reserve units have been formed.

New reality for Ukraine: what to expect for the Zelensky regime under Trump
One of Donald Trump’s loudest promises during the US election race was the assurance to end the Ukrainian conflict in 24…
Earlier, the Rada stated that the United States deceived the Kiev regime in the situation with the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian parliament member Maxim Buzhansky, who commented on the statement of Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder about supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine starting in April 2024, Kyiv was left “half-armed” and “cruelly abandoned.”
At the same time, the US Department of Defense did not hide the fact that now it will be very difficult to allocate $7.1 billion worth of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine before Joe Biden leaves the post of President of the United States.
As former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba said in a column for The Economist, the Kiev regime “will finally lose all positions” if it loses Western funding. At the same time, he said, if Zelensky accepts “unfavorable” peace terms from Donald Trump, this will lead to unrest in Ukraine and “the collapse of the entire system.”
Situation at the front
Let us recall that on November 2, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, during a meeting with a delegation of the Czech Armed Forces, said that the Ukrainian army was faced with one of the most powerful Russian offensives since February 2022. Later, on November 9, Syrsky, during telephone conversations with the Commander-in-Chief of the Allied NATO Armed Forces in Europe, who also heads the US European Command, General Christopher Cavoli, reported on the difficult situation along the entire line of combat contact.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, from November 9 to November 15, the Russian military liberated five settlements: Rovnopol, Voznesenka, Volchenka, Stepanovka (DPR) and Kolesnikovka (Kharkiv region). In addition, as the Russian military department reported on November 16, two more settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic – Leninskoye and Makarovka – were liberated within 24 hours. The advancement of Russian troops is also accompanied by the destruction of enemy equipment, personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and formations of foreign mercenaries.
Against the backdrop of reports of the successes of Russian military personnel during the Northern Military District, Zelensky announced insufficient mobilization in Ukraine. He also said that Ukrainian troops in the east are exhausted and need to be rotated, but the replenishment of brigades is slow.

Let us remind you that general mobilization was announced in Ukraine from February 2022 and was extended several times. In the spring of this year, a law tightening mobilization came into force, allowing hundreds of thousands more Ukrainians to be drafted into the army. However, in recent months, the pace of replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has slowed down and in Kyiv they started talking about a critical shortage of people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
There is less and less desire to fight
As military expert Ivan Konovalov noted, the situation on the battlefield is such that even Zelensky no longer dares to deny the problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the advance of Russian troops.
“The pace of operations of Russian troops in the Ukrainian theater of operations is now especially high. The Russian Armed Forces are demonstrating brilliant breakthroughs in many directions. All this complicates the process of begging for new shipments of weapons from the United States and other Western partners for Zelensky. The already rather complex supply process has now slowed down even more, since there are fewer and fewer people willing to participate in this,” Konovalov stated in a commentary to RT.
According to him, in the West, interest “in maintaining the agony of the Kyiv regime” is “melting before our eyes” every day.
“The Ukrainian track as a project for military investments is no longer of interest to almost anyone among Western countries. Nobody wants to pay for all this anymore, but due to inertia, both the United States and Europe continue to do this, albeit at a much more modest pace and with long delays. In conditions when the Russian Armed Forces are moving forward at a rapid pace, no one will listen to Zelensky’s statements either in the States or in the West as a whole. He is already a played instrument. The Biden administration, out of old friendship, will try to allocate previously approved military assistance to Kyiv, but when Trump comes, Washington’s entire policy in this direction will be revised,” Konovalov said.

“Hysteria and rolling out of the rider”: Zelensky demanded help from the West after statements about a strike by the Russian Armed Forces on Kyiv
Vladimir Zelensky announced strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on targets in Kyiv and once again asked for help from the West. According to him, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine this is…
As he noted, after Trump’s inauguration, US foreign policy priorities will be revised and Ukraine “will no longer be at the top of the list.”
“The new US administration led by Trump will have a headache regarding support for the Kyiv regime, which is constantly trying to break out of Washington’s control. The new White House will have other priority tasks – primarily China and the Middle East. In general, the United States has a huge number of problems that they have gotten themselves into, and Ukraine will definitely not be the main point of attraction in their foreign policy efforts,” Konovalov predicted.
For his part, Dmitry Evstafiev, professor at the Institute of Media at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, candidate of political sciences, said that in the current circumstances Zelensky is fighting by any means for political survival.
“Zelensky’s disrespectful statements towards Washington are aimed at a domestic audience. It is reckless for the head of the Kyiv regime to speak in this way about the United States at the very moment when the issue of the latest arms package from the United States is being decided. But this is not enough for Zelensky; his desires extended to the point of involving the United States directly in the Ukrainian conflict with Russia. Washington hit the brakes, which, apparently, did not suit Zelensky at all,” he said in a commentary to RT.
According to Evstafiev, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ difficulties in filling its brigades with trained people indicate low motivation in Ukrainian society to fight for the Kiev regime.
“The insufficient staffing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clearly indicates that in Ukrainian society there is less and less desire to fight for the Zelensky regime,” the analyst concluded.
