A native of Tajikistan has been detained in the Leningrad Region in a criminal case on providing fictitious registration documents to 22 migrants. This was reported by press service SU SKR by region.
It turned out that the foreigner was the main organized crime group and attracted law enforcement officers to it. It was established that three migration inspectors of the OMVD for the Kirovsky District of the Leningrad Region cooperated with the migrant. They also issued false documents to citizens of Central Asian countries.
The organized crime group began operating no later than February of last year, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation noted.
Investigators, together with Rosgvardia officers, conducted searches at the places of service of police officers and other members of the organized crime group. All details of the incident are being established.
