In a popular pilgrimage to the First Cemetery of Athens, the body of Mimi Plessas will be exposed from the morning, while at 3:00 p.m. relatives and friends will say their last “farewell” to the beloved composer in the funeral procession.
The great artist, who offered the most in the field of culture, died on Saturday, October 5, a week before his 100th birthday.
From 10 in the morning relatives, friends and colleagues flock to the First Cemetery of Athens to pay tribute to Mimi Plessas.
The sad news of his death was announced by his wife, Loukila Carrer Plessa, on Saturday, with an emotional post on social networks.
“And suddenly “A deep silence fell…”…..”And you won’t be by my side Star of my Life…” ….you will always be inside me and protect me from up there….until we meet again My soul. “So many summers have passed…fires rained down on our army” in this common journey of LIFE that has come to an end until we rise up and do it again….
