in Russia reacted to the statement of the NATO Secretary General about the DPRK military in the Kursk region –

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the statement of the NATO Secretary General about the DPRK military in the Kursk region, recalling that Vladimir Putin had previously spoken on this topic. At a press conference following the BRICS summit, the Russian leader noted that Moscow and Pyongyang signed a strategic partnership agreement, which allows, if necessary, to provide each other with assistance, including military assistance. The parties are now discussing the implementation of this agreement. Putin emphasized that NATO military personnel have long been directly involved in hostilities and it is the alliance that is responsible for the escalation of the conflict. Experts share this point of view and note that cooperation between Russia and the DPRK complies with all international standards.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment during the briefing on the words of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the DPRK military in Russia.

“I have nothing to add to what President Putin said on this topic at the final press conference following the recent BRICS summit, which took place in Kazan,” he said.

Let us recall that on October 28, Rutte said that the North Korean military had allegedly arrived in the territory of the Kursk region.

“I can confirm that North Korean troops have been sent to Russia and that North Korean military units are involved in the Kursk region,” Politico quotes him as saying.

The secretary general called it a “significant escalation in North Korea’s ongoing involvement” in the conflict and a “dangerous expansion” of the war.

Earlier, the President of Russia commented on similar statements by Western officials. At a press conference following the BRICS summit in Kazan, he recalled that the State Duma had recently approved the Treaty on a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang. The fourth article of this document states that in the event of an attack on one of the parties, the other “will immediately provide military and other assistance.”

At the same time, the Russian leader neither confirmed nor denied the information about the presence of the Korean military in the Russian Federation.

“What and how we will do is our business within the framework of this article. First, we need to hold appropriate negotiations regarding the implementation of Article No. 4 of this treaty, but we are in contact with our North Korean friends and will see how this process develops,” he said.

At the same time, the president rejected claims from Western representatives that possible cooperation between the Russian and Korean militaries is an escalation of the conflict. Putin recalled that it was the actions of NATO, which pumps Ukraine with weapons and is directly involved in the conflict, that led to the escalation.

“We know what and how is done when launching unmanned marine vehicles in the Black Sea. We know who is there, from which European NATO countries and how they carry out this work. The same applies to military instructors, not mercenaries, but military personnel. The same applies to the use of high-precision weapons,” Putin emphasized.

The West has long been drawn into war

Experts believe that the United States and the EU have long crossed all red lines and that they are responsible for inciting and growing the conflict in Ukraine.

“What can I say, the other day a group of mercenaries was captured – Poles, Americans, someone else. And this is considered normal among them! At the same time, the West has not proven that representatives of the DPRK are involved in the conflict, but is already talking about escalation. Such double standards are terrifying in their impudence,” said Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, in a commentary to RT.

Let us recall that on October 28, the FSB announced the liquidation of the DRG, which was trying to penetrate the territory of the Bryansk region. The killed militants were presumably foreigners. This is indicated by their personal belongings, documents and weapons.

“A tattoo of the 2nd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army Special Forces Parachute Reconnaissance Regiment was found on the body of one of the destroyed people,” the FSB said.

Chairman of the party “A Just Russia – For Truth” Sergei Mironov, commenting on this message, noted that the West has long been drawn into the war against Russia.

“And then we read obituaries in the Western media and social networks about the sudden death of some American or Frenchman. True, the authors of these messages, as a rule, are embarrassed to tell where, when and how this gentleman died. But the more of them fall on our soil, the more people in the West will know about it,” the parliamentarian said in a conversation with RT.

“Cunning statements”: the Russian Foreign Ministry responded to calls from the West to send troops to Ukraine due to the alleged participation of the DPRK in the Northern Military District

The West’s calls to send troops to Ukraine in response to North Korea’s alleged participation in the conflict are simply an attempt to retroactively justify…

A similar point of view is shared by Vadim Kozyulin, head of the Center for Global Studies and International Relations of the IAMP Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“We know that Western mercenaries are participating in battles on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, we know that Macron proposed sending regular troops there. Maybe he already did this in secret. According to available information, tens of thousands of foreigners – Poles and others – are operating there,” the political scientist noted in a conversation with RT.

“According to the letter of the agreements”

Analysts also emphasize that Russian-Korean cooperation within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty meets all international standards. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also stated this earlier.

“The agreement is absolutely in compliance with international laws, and to a much greater extent than the relations that have now been established between the European Union, the United States and Ukraine,” said Sergei Tsekov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, in a commentary to RT.

Vadim Kozyulin also called it competent to conclude such an agreement.

“Our agreements do not contradict the laws. The agreement has been signed and officially published, everyone knows about it. I believe it will be fair if both parties implement it according to the letter of the agreements,” the specialist concluded.
