In Russia, the turnover of travel agencies and hotels increased by a third during the high season

During the study, experts found that during the high season, from August 20 to October 10, 2024, the turnover of Russian travel agencies increased by 29%, and hotels – by 38% compared to the same period in 2023.

The newspaper writes about this “News” with reference to a study of the YuKassa online and offline payment acceptance service of the YuMoney fintech company and the Sutochno.ru online housing booking service.

The number of hotel payment transactions increased by 9%, and the average check increased by 27% and amounted to 12,438 rubles.

The turnover of payments for train tickets increased by 12% over the year, the number of payments – by 10%, and the average bill did not change and amounted to 6,670 rubles.

In travel agencies, the number of payments for the year remained unchanged, and the average bill increased by 29% and amounted to 38,533 rubles.

The greatest demand during the velvet season was in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Sochi, as well as Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok and Minsk.

It was previously reported that in the Stavropol Territory, the Kislovodsk National Park was visited by about 4.1 million people from January to September 2024.
