In St. Petersburg, they tried to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a bang and a man running away.

In the Northern capital, a 76-year-old pensioner was detained for attempting to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office in the Primorsky district.

The incident, as reported by 78.ruwas recorded last Friday, July 19, on Sizova Street. An elderly man broke into the military registration and enlistment office and threw a Molotov cocktail from a window on the second floor of the building. According to other sources, the man threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture at the door of the registration and enlistment office, but it did not reach the door and fell on the stairs.

A local resident reported to the police about the bang and the pensioner she saw running away. As a result, law enforcement officers quickly caught the arsonist. The pensioner was taken to the police station for investigation. All the reasons and circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

Earlier it was reported that a St. Petersburg resident was given four years in prison for attacking a military registration and enlistment office with a wrench.
