Faiz Ullah, Deputy Director of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, Chittagong conducted the operation on Wednesday (January 8) afternoon.

At this time Hotel Zaman Restaurant was fined Rs 1 lakh as a precautionary measure. On the other hand, Kitchen Restaurant was fined 10,000 taka for selling stale food and using unauthorized colors and chemicals, and Hotel Laila was fined 6,000 taka for preparing food using unauthorized chemicals.

Besides, the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection fined Ikra Medicine Center 20,000 rupees for selling expired medicines.

Deputy director Faiz Ullah said that a total of 1 lakh 36 thousand rupees was imposed on 4 establishments in Kazi Deuri, including food preparation with chemicals to make food taste better, fungus in meat, use of color in food and a pharmacy. And warning bonds have been taken. He said that the supervision activities of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection will continue in the interest of the public.

Assistant Director Md. Anichur Rahman, Assistant Director Rana Debnath, Assistant Director Mahmuda Akhtar were also present.
