Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir welcomed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision, stating that Gallant in office “absolute victory cannot be achieved“.

At the same time, the Israeli Channel 12 reported that on Saturday night Police raided Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office. According to the channel, the withdrawal of the police “unprecedented”.

It is not known whether this raid is related to the sacking of the defense minister.
