Domestic. While the government and SD lower the tax on work in the country as a whole, the S-led majority in Stockholm City Hall has decided to raise the tax in the capital.
In one debate article the red-greens announce that the increase is being made to “secure welfare and tackle the climate crisis”.
“This is not an easy decision, but it is necessary,” they write.
The purpose is also to neutralize the tax reduction made by the government and SD.
“With Stockholm’s new tax rate, we are taking back part of the government’s tax cuts in order to finance the welfare and climate work that the government has abandoned,” the representatives write.
