Incredible shelling of Russians from an American Bradley vehicle

A video has appeared on social media that graphically shows how powerful the American M2A2 ODS Bradley infantry fighting vehicles are on the Ukrainian front. It shows the work of the vehicle’s onboard M242 Bushmaster 25mm Chain Gun manufactured by McDonnell Douglas with 25 mm M792 high-explosive incendiary rounds with tracer (HEI-T).

It is characterized by rate of fire of 200 rounds per minute. The missiles can be sent to a distance of up to 6,500 meters. The gun weighs 110.2 kg and has a barrel length of 2.032 m, and the muzzle velocity is 1,360 m/s. Such firepower is easily able to repel an attack by the Russian aggressor. The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers admitted that thanks to the American Bradley vehicles, they managed to stop the Russian offensive near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

These combat vehicles are firing at Russian positions, tanks and armored personnel carriers there. The latest video shows a Bradley belonging to the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade firing at Russian positions. The occupiers are holed up among the few remaining green areas there. As reported by SZU, we managed to eliminate the aggressors in this direction.

The United States announced a total of 182 Bradley vehicles delivered to Ukraine in the M2A2 ODS version and additionally 250 thousand rounds of ammunition. Unfortunately, it is not known how many units are currently operating on the front in Ukraine. As we reported recently, two of these vehicles were taken over by the Russians some time ago.

The American combat vehicle weighs 27 tons and is powered by a diesel engine. Cummins VTA-903T engine with 600 HPwhich allows the vehicle to accelerate to about 60 km/h. The front of the machine is equipped with reactive armor, protecting against fire from 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannons and RPG-7 anti-tank grenade launchers.

However, its most important weapon is its 25mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun that fires a variety of ammunition. The M2A2 ODS Bradley towers over standard infantry fighting vehicles such as BWP-1 or BWP-2 used in Ukraine. First of all, the American vehicle has much better infrared and night optics. On the battlefield, the one who notices the enemy first wins the duels.

The Bradley provides the Ukrainians with an advantage in this respect, as the Russians have seen many times. Thanks to FBCB2 combat information and control systemenables efficient communication between vehicles, coordinating the attack.
