DAPURPACUID – Indomobil Group and PLN Icon Plus officially collaborated by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU), to support the acceleration of the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
The signing of this strategic collaboration coincides with the participation of the leading automotive company in Indonesia at the Electricity Connect 2024 event, at JCC Senayan, Jakarta.
This collaboration includes the procurement of electric vehicles from the Indomobil Group for use by PLN Icon Plus, to strengthen the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.
This collaboration aims to accelerate the transition towards environmentally friendly mobility that supports Indonesia’s vision of becoming a country with a stronger and more sustainable electric vehicle ecosystem.
Through this partnership, PLN Icon Plus will be supported by electric vehicles from various brands under the auspices of the Indomobil Group.
“We are proud to collaborate with PLN Icon Plus in strengthening the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia,” said Indomobil Group Director, Andrew Nasuri.
According to him, this collaboration is a concrete step for the company to support government programs that focus on reducing carbon emissions and accelerating the transition to environmentally friendly mobility.
“We hope that this collaboration can encourage people to have more confidence and switch to electric vehicles, which will ultimately contribute to reducing carbon emissions,” said Andrew.
During its participation in the Electricity Connect 2024 exhibition, Indomobil Group presented eight brands that market electric vehicles in Indonesia, which occupied the area in the Plenary Hall.
A total of 15 display units were displayed from the GAC Aion, Citroen, Kia, Nissan, Volkswagen, Maxxus and Foton brands as commercial vehicles, as well as the Indomobil Emotor Adora (electric motorbike).
Andrew admitted that he was enthusiastic about introducing Indomobil Group’s superior electric vehicle line to the public, through Indomobil Group’s participation in the event.
On the other hand, PLN Icon Plus positively welcomed the Indomobil Group’s participation in the event, as well as the strategic collaboration that existed between the two parties.
President Director of PLN Icon Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi, claims that his party has the same commitment as the Indomobil Group, namely encouraging the acceleration of the energy transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
Ari also believes that this collaboration will strengthen joint efforts to contribute to increasing environmentally friendly mobility.
“Electricity Connect 2024 is a real manifestation of PLN Icon Plus’ commitment to encouraging sustainable energy transformation and digitalization,” he explained.
“We believe this event will be an important catalyst in presenting low-carbon energy innovation and strengthening the electricity ecosystem in Indonesia,” concluded Ari.
For information, currently the Indomobil Group has a series of electric vehicles in various segments that can meet people’s mobility needs, from the city car segment to the ultra luxury car segment. (dpid/TH)
