Initiatives are being taken to resolve the session jam: Rabi Upacharya

University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rajshahi University (Rabi) has said that initiative is being taken to resolve session congestion in various departments. Saleh Hasan Naqeeb.

He said this while interacting with journalists at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Senate building on Saturday.

Rabi Vice-Chancellor said in response to a question from the journalists, “Initiatives have already been taken from the university administration to resolve the session jam.” A message in this regard from the Registrar’s office will be conveyed to the departments by tomorrow.’

Professor Naqeeb also said, ‘I am talking to the presidents of those departments in which there is session jam. One thing we have to keep in mind here is to reduce the semester duration so that there is no shortage to complete the curriculum. We have to think about everything. In this case, I think it is important to have the sincere efforts of the department president and teachers.

Besides, in relation to the discussion about the absence of Dalit student politics in the campus, Rabi Vice-Chancellor said, ‘Before taking a decision on student politics, we will take the opinion of stakeholders. The July revolution taught us that no single decision brings prosperity. We will first talk to the social and cultural organizations that are involved in non-political and co-curricular activities on this campus. Then I will sit with all the political organizations in the campus, big or small. After that, I want to sit with the student coordinators and create a final structure based on everyone’s opinion.’

Vice-Chancellor Professor Saleh Hasan Naqeeb also spoke about Raksu election. He said, ‘We will take a quick decision on this matter. There is no lack of our sincerity in this. We will definitely fulfill the commitment we have given.’
