Good news for Reels creators: A new feature offers them more creative freedom when selecting audio for their content. From now on, they can add up to 20 audio tracks to a Reel. Instagram boss Adam Mosseri confirmed this on Threads. The audio tracks can be adapted to the text, stickers and individual Reel sections – in addition, a separate audio mix with the tracks used is created during creation, which other users can save and reuse.

But that’s not all: Instagram is currently testing a feature called Super Like for the story. This allows users to mark stories that they particularly like. However, a Super Like can only be given once within 24 hours. Many users will already be familiar with Super Likes from YouTube livestreams or Tinder. It is not yet known whether and when the feature will be rolled out widely on Instagram.

YouTube testet AI Radio und Community Spaces
Not only Instagram, but also Spotify is currently taking inspiration from YouTube features. The audio streaming platform recently launched comments for podcasts – but these cannot (yet) keep up with YouTube’s comment function.
Spotify vs. YouTube:
New comment feature launched
In return, YouTube is testing a feature reminiscent of Spotify’s AI-generated playlists: a personalized AI radio. So far, however, the feature is only available to a limited number of users in the US. They can create their own personal radio program by prompting them with what they want to hear (for example, “rousing pop anthems”).
In addition, the platform is testing a feature called Community Spaces. This is a Discord-like forum in which creators and their subscribers can share posts and interact with each other.
