Instagram is now testing moving your Story Highlights to another dedicated tab. While Stories published on Instagram can be used for 24 hours, they disappear after that. Story Highlights, on the other hand, are a way to showcase selected stories indefinitely. Currently, Story Highlights appear on the profile page between the bio and post grid section.
Finally, social media expert Lindsey GambleAccording to , Instagram is in the process of giving Story Highlights a dedicated tab, similar to how Reels has its own tab on the profile page. Instagram Story Highlights will continue to appear in your main grid, but it’s not yet clear where exactly they’ll appear.
Gamble stated that the feature is currently in the testing phase for certain users. Additionally, creators will have the option to “select which Highlights appear and remove Highlights from their main grid.” Additionally, the new change is expected to improve profile layout by placing Stories next to Reels and feed posts, thus increasing the visibility of this content.
On the other hand, Instagram is testing the introduction of an artificial intelligence-powered profile picture feature that can be accessed on the profile editing page.
